This Department of Energy Technology Commercialization Fund lab call seeks proposals for collaborative projects with industrial partners to develop innovations of industrial decarbonization technologies, with the goal of reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions of iron, steel, chemicals, and cement manufacturing. The call is for technologies currently at mid-to-late-stage TRL levels (TRL ≥ 4) ─ those validated in a laboratory environment or beyond, to include manufacturing scale-up and execution of a business plan.

• Estimated Number of Projects Expected: 1-3
• Estimated Project Duration: 12-36 months
The focus is on decarbonization technologies as well as their integration into process systems and supply chains to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions of iron and steel, chemicals, and cement manufacturing.
