IPO executes options and license agreements for Berkeley Lab technologies and software, as well as non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and material transfer agreements (MTAs) to access Berkeley Lab technologies and resources. External parties should work with their Berkeley Lab contact to request agreements from IPO. Using Berkeley Lab’s sample agreements can speed up turnaround times.

Berkeley Lab has sophisticated software for many applications, including in geosciences, biosciences, imaging, materials science, computing sciences, and energy efficiency. Our closed source software is available through the Berkeley Lab Marketplace for commercial use for a licensing fee and free/low-cost to academia and nonprofit organizations.
