- Join a Department of Energy national lab startup. The Cradle to Commerce program seeks entrepreneurs to partner with scientists at four national laboratories to form startups that will bring Lab technologies to market.
- Join a Berkeley Lab team that is interested in bringing their technology to market. Innovation Corps (I-Corps) Lite is a 4-to 6-week, low time commitment, virtual part-time program run by Berkeley Lab, focused on exploring markets and workshopping a minimum viable product. It is designed as a feeder course to the full-time, two-month program run by the DOE called Energy I-Corps, providing up to $80K in team funding. We are seeking entrepreneurs to partner with Lab scientists on these innovation teams!
- Apply for scientist and facility support and entrepreneurship training for your own startup. Cyclotron Road is a 2-year incubator program run by Berkeley Lab’s Strategic Partnerships Office in collaboration with the not-for-profit Activate. This program is for entrepreneurs who are starting hard tech companies related to clean energy, the environment, climate, and computing. It offers support and mentorship from Berkeley Lab scientists, access to user facilities, and entrepreneurship training.
