Berkeley Lab’s MyGreenCar team ranked first out of 16 teams attending I-Corps™ bootcamp this week. The MyGreenCar team (L-to-R Sam Saxena, Nihar Shah, Dana Hansen, Russell Carrington) is developing a fuel economy app supporting EV drivers, fleet managers and other customers.
I-Corps™ bootcamp helps researcher / entrepreneurial teams zero in on the best markets and applications for their technologies. The three-day bootcamp kicked off a six-week push during which the MyGreenCar team will shape commercialization plans based on scores of customer and value chain member interviews. Watch for a video series documenting the highs and lows of the team’s experience.
Teams from Berkeley Lab, Sandia, and Argonne National Laboratories represented DOE’s Lab-Corps pilot program at the I-Corps™ training. Lab-Corps participation is the first initiative of the Berkeley Lab Innovation Corps (BLIC). BLIC is open to all Lab staff interested in moving technology from the lab to the marketplace to benefit society and the U. S. economy. For details, go here.
